Network Deployment Technician, DCC Communities
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an Infrastructure Delivery Install Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations.
Our Infrastructure team is responsible for day to day installation of server and network equipment, structured cabling, project work, and capacity management.
This technician will also be involved with installation and troubleshooting of structured cabling, management of infrastructure inventory levels, physical installation of network and server racks and/or devices and management of data center services vendors.
You will work in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.
You will launch cutting edge server technologies and solve diverse networking impairments.
You will quickly and accurately assess a wide range of infrastructure issues, which requires a good understanding of computers, switches and various networking devices from both a hardware and software perspective and a demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology.
To be successful in this role you should possess technical aptitude, written and oral communications skills and the ability to deal effectively with people in a wide variety of situations.
In addition, you must possess strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
You will be able to leverage your experience exercising high levels of initiative, judgment, and diplomacy.

Key job responsibilities Build out first level router-aggregates, build the console network for new rooms, and support network scaling projects Any physical requirements are expectations with reasonable accommodations Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects Collaboration with various stake holders to remove project obstacles Troubleshoot networking, routing and inter connectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low level application interaction Up to 60% travel within geographical work area is required.
Some travel outside traditional work area may be requested, including internationally Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware Moving and lifting computer equipment up to 50 lbsA day in the lifeOur team has three primary tasks:

Providing the first level networking devices to serve our customer racks entails various tasks (the name of the game is efficiency):
You will track network rack intake and delivery; work with various onsite teams to request for rack space, power, and cooling for network racks.
And then partner with network engineers to ensure all configurations are ready.
You'll also be working on link and device troubleshooting within a certain Service-Level Agreement 2.
There is also console builds (and room builds) that are really exciting.
You'll be exposed to more teams whose goal is to provide more space and capacity for customer racks.

Work with ID-Scaling peers to build higher-level networking devices.
We have teammates who'll need your support and you'll learn more about our network infrastructure! About the teamAtlanta up till 2023 an Edge Region, however due to growth in the ATL metro region we're very excited to expand into hyperscale sites and server capacity.
Your teammates will be composed of Late-Binding and Install and Deploy technicians.
Our goal is to get all customer racks into our sites safely and effectively! Our We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Plain City, OH, USA.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
