We manufacture and service isotope and laser thickness gauging systems for the steel service center industry.
We were voted one of Columbus' Best Places to Work by Columbus Business First and we have an immediate need for an Office Assistant.
This position includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, database data entry and filing functions.
A good working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office programs will be required.
Related experience with small business is a plus.
Candidate should be a friendly, team player who is detail-oriented, organized, and a self-starter with strong initiative.

Additionally, this position can accommodate very flexible hours ranging from 25 to 40 hours per week with a start time ranging between 7 and 9 am.
Job Description:
1) Answer telephones Assist handling all incoming telephone calls.
Route and/or screen calls taking messages as required.
2) Process office paperwork and daily workflows Work daily with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Publisher and Word, in addition to Adobe Acrobat Pro and Intuit QuickBooks to handle tasks such as the following:
Pull customer files for monthly sales contacts and road work.
File updated customer files daily.
Prepare, file, and send all necessary certificates to customers as required.
Maintain Parts Price List each quarter.
Maintain semi-annual service log.
Handle monthly Dosimetry paperwork.
Process semi-annual Service Canada paperwork.
3) General accounting functions Prepare, file and send invoices to customers.
Follow-up all overdue invoices as required.
Process customer payments and prepare bank deposits.
Process supplier payments.
4) Office presentation and daily functions Assist with general office decorating and housekeeping, including keeping the office areas, break room and bathrooms neat, clean and organized.
Handle daily office functions such as incoming and outgoing mail.
5) Company functions Coordinate company meals and activities including customer meetings, annual holiday party, team building activities, etc.
6) Other duties as assigned Requirements:
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
