Staff Accountant

To assist the Chief Financial Officer and Accounting Manager in performing accounting and bookkeeping services for the agency following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Core Duties &
Responsibilities:
oRecord cash receipts and receivables for subsidiary locations (South Central, East Central andGreater Cleveland).
oRecord all payables for the agency and subsidiaries with assistance from the Accounting Leader.
oComplete all bank reconciliations at month end.
oReconcile all credit card receipts to monthly reports.
oPost credit card statement activity to proper expenses and accounts payable.
oCollect and manage required signatures of staff for grant tracking purposes.
oCompile data and complete the time tracking schedule for government grants.
oPreparing invoice detail summary for all assigned grant billings by Chief Financial Officer.
oAssist Executive Vice President of Development and Grants by providing requested details for grant support (i.
e.
payroll registers, benefit documentation, receipts, mileage reports, etc.
)oEntering in data for online funding portals as directed by the Grants Manager.
oMaintain and track cost per match analysis for program and camp.
oMaintain and track government grant analysis for subsidiaries as assigned by Chief Financial Officer.
oEnter budget details.
oAssist Accounting Manager with month-end closing duties.
oPost general journal entries as approved by the Chief Financial Officer.
oPrepare monthly reports as needed.
oAssist in audit preparation including reconciliations.
oSpecial projects as required.
Required to have at least a Bachelor's Degree, and one to three years of successful involvement in accounting.
Must have excellent computer (Excel, and word) skills; exceptional problem-solving abilities and good organizational skills.
Must be willing and able to make last minute changes to accommodate job responsibilities.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
